Frequently asked questions

Will my watch still be waterproof?

Any Smartwatch that has been impacted hard enough to break the glass may have dislodged seals around the buttons. Because of this, we can seal the screen with specialist glues but we can’t guarantee that the seals behind the buttons will still be 100% waterproof due to the initial impact that lead to the break.

Even if we can get a perfect seal on the screen, we cannot guarantee that the side buttons have not been compromised from impact and for this reason we do not recommend submerging the watch for swimming/diving or showering/bathing.

Your watch will be water resistant against everyday tasks like washing your hands or exercising in the rain following our repair.

What if my watch is more damaged than I can see from the outside?

Sometimes, very rarely,  your watch may be more damaged than we originally thought; but we’ll keep in touch throughout the time it’s in our workshop and contact you with any updates so there are never any nasty surprises on your final bill.

What is a Diagnostic?

For any repairs that are a little out of the ordinary - where we may suspect water damage or a previous repair has been done on the watch we carry out a diagnostic first, this means that we'll open it up and have a look at all the components and connections to make sure there is no corrosion or damage.

The diagnostic fee is paid up front and covers the time our technicians spend working on your watch to figure out what repair needs to be carried out - if we are confident a repair can be carried out, then we will contact you to let you know what we've found and then this fee is taken off your final total so you only pay for the repair required. Sometimes, following a diagnostic, we may find that the watch is too damaged to be repaired or the cost becomes uneconomical depending on the age of the watch - we will always call you to discuss this and if you do not want to go ahead with the repair, then you will only pay the diagnostic fee and you can choose for the watch to be returned to you or recycled.

How should I post my watch to you?

If you’re happy with your quote and ready to go ahead with a repair, then you post your watch to us (we recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery as this service includes insurance in case anything goes awry during transit). We recommend wrapping your watch in bubble wrap, placing in a small box and then wrapping that small box in some more protective wrap and placing in another box or secure padded envelope.

Please only send your watch pebble, no straps or accessories.

We are unable to guarantee return of any packaging you send to us as we have specially sized return boxes - please do not send your watch in anything you wish to have returned.
